Weight Watchers Turkey Chili Points

Weight Watchers Turkey Chili Points

This recipe for Weight Watchers Turkey Chili has been updated for the new Flex Points system. The recipe has previously been shared, but all points values have been updated.

Here's another meal idea for my fellow weight watchers. I'll call it a 'recipe' but I'm using the term loosely because I'm a convenience chef, so I buy chopped veg and my flavouring is from a packet. Anyway, let's crack on.

Have you seen these 6 Weight Watchers hacks for when you run out of smart points?

You will need:

  • Turkey breast mince
  • Vegetable base mix (if you can't buy any ready chopped, finely chop carrots, onions, and celery)
  • 1 tin of tomatoes
  • 1 can of drained and rinsed kidney beans
  • 160g frozen sweetcorn
  • 160g frozen peas
  • Coleman's Chilli Con Carne packet mix (we only use half of the pack) (3 smart point)
  • 1tsp (or to taste) chilli powder
  • Fry light spray

The smart points value for this whole batch is just the 3 smart point for the sachet. The batch serves 4 (or 3 very hungry people), making it approximated 1 point per serving!

Method for Weight Watchers Turkey Chili:

Heat a large frying pan and use 5 sprays of fry light. (I checked on the app and you can actually still use 10 sprays for 0 sp)

Throw in your turkey mince and vegetable base mix and stir for about 5 mins or until the turkey looks white or cooked.

Add the tinned tomatoes, kidney beans, sweetcorn and peas, mix in well. I also added some broccoli florets that I had lying around, but they're not essential to the recipe.

Add half the packet of the Coleman's chilli con carne mix and the teaspoon of chilli powder and stir for a few more minutes.

Turn the heat down to a medium heat, keep stirring until the bubbling slows down, then put a lid on and leave to simmer for about 15 mins, stirring intermittently.

That's it, you're done!

If you serve with cauliflower rice then you've got yourself a very low point, very filling meal. Enjoy!
